Technical Theatre Camp Week 2

Eligibility: Open to students in grades 5th to 10th.

Duration: One week. It is recommended that students enroll in both Week 2 and Week 3 for a complete experience.

Dates and Times:

June 17, 18, 20, 21: 9 AM - 5 PM (No camp on June 19th).

Activities: Participants will be deeply involved in the technical aspects of two ongoing production camps:

First Week of Summer Musical Theatre Intensive: Focusing on Beetlejuice JR.
Adventure Camp Week 2: Centered around A Wicked Adventure.

Tasks include:
Crafting and sourcing props.
Fitting and assigning costumes.
Designing and constructing sets.
Managing sound, lighting, and projections
Collaborating closely with the stage management team.

Experience: This camp offers a creative and immersive environment where students can unleash their imagination and learn the nuts and bolts of technical theater production.

Cost: Variable pricing options available. Note that the camp fee does not include performance tickets, which are available at various price points.

Registration Perk: Register by May 1st to receive a custom DMR T-shirt.

Recommendation: Participants are encouraged to attend all three weeks of the initial tech camps to experience the full scope of the Musical Theatre Intensive, from preparation to final production.

This camp provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the staging of two different shows, enhancing their understanding of the comprehensive process involved in bringing a theatrical performance to life.
