AUDITIONS

Auditions are being held on Dec. 5th, Dec. 7th and Dec. 9th for our Spring Conservatory program. We intend to produce The Sound of Music (Youth Edition), pending licensing. We plan to produce this musical at Grisham Hall at St. Anne's-Belfield School over one weekend (please see schedule before registering to audition). Some roles may be double cast.

 

Admission is by audition only, and not all students will receive an invitation.  If students who audition do note receive an invitation, our staff will reach out to recommend other programs that may be a better fit for the spring semester.

Please note that the March Main Stage Musical program (James and the Giant Peach JR) does not require an advance audition, and all registrants will be cast.  Click here to register for James and the Giant Peach JR (coming soon).

Auditions for our spring conservatory and registrations for the March Main Stage Musical are open to those in 4th-12th grades. Members of the Junior Stars who are not yet in 4th grade will be allowed to audition.

Students should prepare a 16-32 measure song (approx. 1 minute) and please bring a track on your phone, iPad or other device for you accompaniment. Please also prepare one audition side from the audition page. Students will NOT need to attend a dance call for this program. 

 

Please bring your calendar to fill out a conflict sheet and note that the process will take 30-40 minutes.

As a reminder, there is no pianist at this audition. Students are assigned to auditions in groups of up to 6, and will audition privately, but may be asked to come back in and read with other students in the 30 minute time slot for which you signed up.
