TRACY DIAMOND ALLEN

Tracy Diamond Allen was born and raised in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa.  She immigrated from South Africa 8 years ago, and is now an American citizen. Tracy has been living in Western Albemarle for 7 years with her husband, Mark Allen (squash director for UVA), and her two sons, Daniel (15 years old) and Jayden (11 years old.) Tracy studied Theatre at The Cape Academy Of Dramatic Art (CADA) in South Africa, and received her ATCL (Associate) and LTCL (Licentiate Practical) Diplomas in Dramatic Arts from Trinity College London.  She has over 16 years of prior experience teaching theatre in both private and public schools in South Africa and Albemarle County.  Tracy was co – owner of the Cape Town Theatre School, Dynamics Drama, where her students participated in Oral Communication examinations as well as Drama festivals.  Tracy’s aim is to support children through challenges, stimulate imagination and creativity, and develop self-confidence. Tracy also has experience teaching Creative Movement, having studied tap, jazz and modern dance as a child, and was Training Manager for a reputable Call Centre in South Africa, where she developed and taught workshops in Professional Communication Skills, Leadership, and Sales & Customer Care. Tracy endeavors to accentuate the individuality of each child, teaching them to use their inner resources to aid them in becoming successful communicators.
