DMR Homeschool Musical Theatre Production: I Have a Voice
Now in its second semester, the DMR Homeschool Musical Theatre program takes a bold leap into the
world of devised theatre with I Have a Voice—an original piece developed in collaboration with Claire Chandler and our ensemble of eight talented homeschool students.
Departing from traditional book musicals like Shrek JR. (produced in our inaugural semester), this project blends a variety of musical theatre selections with student-devised storytelling to create a heartfelt and imaginative journey. Each student shines with a solo performance, and many take the stage in duets and small group numbers.
Together, the cast explores big themes—identity, belonging, sibling rivalry, staying true to yourself, and the importance of even the smallest teenage struggles.
